Kaelin and Luis’s wedding at Hidden Pines Chapel in Highland Village was the kind of day you can’t help but smile about long after it’s over. They struck the perfect balance between elegance and personality, with subtle nods to their love of all things nerdy (which was so fun, but, more on that to come) and an intimate, natural vibe that felt so “them.” Their wedding colors—forest green and gold—set the stage for a day that was cozy, classy, and absolutely stunning.

Kaelin + Luis’s Love Story

These two first met in Nov of 2017 at a mutual friend’s birthday party at a Korean BBQ restaurant. Kaelin made quite the impression by innocently upending an entire plate of frozen meat onto the grill. Luis, as the gentleman he is, kindly asked if she needed help, ha. And just like that, their story began.

Their first date at Chan’s Mongolian Grill was just as memorable. Luis brought Kaelin to his favorite spot, where they were so engaged in conversation that their food went cold. (Always a good sign!) Fast forward to today, and their relationship is still filled with an abundance of laughter, adventure, and the kind of cozy comfort you only find with your person.

Through years of adventures—from epic dates like Disney World to smaller moments like laughing uncontrollably over a messy rotisserie chicken in a Costco parking lot—these two have developed the sweetest bond. Kaelin knew Luis was “the one” during a quiet car ride, marveling at how comfortable even their silences could be – and wanting that level of comfort forever.

He proposed during a simple, intimate Christmas gathering with both their families. It was the first time they were all together, so it was a special moment in and of itself. And while nerves may have caused him to stumble over his words, Kaelin said it was perfect and that it perfectly suited them.

This sweet couple couldn’t have chosen a more perfect wedding venue than Hidden Pines Chapel to fit their vision for their day. They loved how airy and natural the chapel felt, thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows that let in so much gorgeous natural light. The cozy ballroom was also just the right size for their intimate reception, bringing everyone together to celebrate their love.

If I had to pick one moment from their day that truly pulled at my heartstrings, it would be their First Look. As soon as they saw each other, the tears started flowing—and they just kept coming! Then, they exchanged the most thoughtful gifts, and I couldn’t help but tear up right along with them. Their love is so pure and genuine; it’s the kind of connection you can feel down to your bones just by being in their presence. It’s truly something special.

While their wedding was undeniably classy, Kaelin and Luis also added some personal touches that reflected their personalities. Luis’s golden Lord of the Rings cufflinks were such a fun detail. But my personal favorite was their cake-cutting sword—a detail that was both hilarious and epic. The moment perfectly captured their fun-loving spirit while staying true to the elegance of the day.

A Hidden Pines Chapel Wedding Reception

The reception was an absolute blast, filled with so much laughter and love. Some of my personal favorite moments included:

• Kaelin’s mom kicked off her speech by rolling out floor-length parchment paper, and cracking everyone up before transitioning into a very heartfelt speech.
• Both Kaelin and Luis shared really sweet moments with their moms during their parent dances – making everyone tear up yet again!
• The dance floor? Nonstop energy all night long. Everyone was up and having the time of their lives.
• Before their grand exit, Kaelin and Luis shared a private last dance alone in the reception hall—a quiet moment, just the two of them to reconnect after an amazing day.
• Their grand exit, featuring tossed streamers, was beautiful. Yet quickly turned comical as their guests had a little too much fun tossing them, leaving them looking like they were caught in a web before jumping into their getaway car. Haha – peep the last photo!

Hidden Pines Chapel Wedding

Kaelin and Luis’s relationship is a perfect blend of cozy and fun, while being deeply loving. When I asked these two what they admired most about each other, they shared: “Luis would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. He’ll drop what he’s doing to help someone he barely even knows if they need it. He is selfless and warm.” Luis said: “I admire how strong and beautiful she is. I love a powerful woman and she is it. She is admirable, strong and divinely beautiful.”

I seriously can’t with these two. They are so unbelievably adorable with each other.
